The Quest for a Family Photo

It's no secret I'm obsessed and slightly neurotic with photos. Most of my family is use to it but still get highly annoyed with me.It's even become a bit of a joke. It's gotten even worse now that I have a blog and chronicle out life more. So of course when Jack was born I was so excited to get a picture of all 4 of us. Many people noticed that It took over two months for me to change the photo at the top of my blog from our family of three to our expanding family of 4. WOW, that has been so much harder then I thought, a newborn, 2 year old and annoyed hubby sick of me trying to get us all in a photo every time I get the chance! The following outtakes(photos) have been taken in attempt for my quest for a great family photo.....

Our first family photo :)

I look like one eyed Wille....

I actually like this photo, it a great candid that captures our family, though I didn't realize it until I just looked at it.

We tried again at the hospital, you again can't really see Jack's face and Pete looks exhausted from staying up all night and pushing out a kid... oh wait that was me, why is he so tired!

non-cooperating kids.

I then thought Peter's birthday would be a great oppurtunity to get a photo. Jack slept throught the entire party and at the end when I wanted to get one.... well you can see how that went!

I'm the only one looking at the camera.....

Easter comes along, and I think Yes, we'll all be in nice outfits, it will be great! Not so much....

at this point... I'm over it! Though I love that Pete is still smiling because he knows how bad I want a photo!

We have not attempted since Easter. Not one attempt in May. There was a couple of times I wanted to try but then I would look and see my family all happy in the middle of what was going on and didn't want to .... watch out June, we're going to try this month!!

  1. Oh how I feel your pain and I only have 1 baby!

  2. This post had me cracking up. I am the same way with photos and not one of them are great when you have a 2 year old and an infant. The only great family photo we have is from when we got Noah's newborn photos done.
