O' Christmas Tree

7 years ago we started this wonderful tradition, and some years we've had some kinks but we always have a fun time! This year we had plans to go to Beech Ridge Farm in Scarborough to cut down our tree and I didn't do my research. When we got there they had closed the tree farm and you could only buy in the barn. Due to the wind, Sara & Kyle grabbed one there with baby Grace and after some driving around to find another place we ended up at the Old Farm Christmas Place in Cape Elizabeth. It was the best place we have been so far, and we'll be back again next year!!

2014 in review!

I have enjoyed having this family blog for over 5 years now! It's a fabulous way for our family & friends to see our busy lives!  I got busy coaching women's lacrosse this spring at Cheverus High School and I really fell behind on blogging. When I put the blog address on the Christmas card I realized I really needed to work on some updates! Here are some posts on what we have been busy doing in 2013!!

Family Pictures

Much to Pete's dismay, I try to have our family picture taken every year ;) A few Sundays ago, I took the boys over to the Scarborough Marsh for a walk. It's such a pretty spot and it made me realize two things... 1.) We hadn't taken a family photo yet this year. 2.) I wanted them taken here.  It was perfect timing for our Christmas card also!!! So I called my best friend, the very talented Bethany who owns Maine Moments Photography and voila!!!

The first two pictures we used on our Christmas Card

House Renovations!

When we bought the house 7 years ago, I was not a fan of the color. It had just been painted and there was so many other items to tackle before we even thought about the outside. When we built the addition, we decided we would vinyl side it, and finish the rest of the house the following summer! Pete did an amazing job on the house. This is how he spent his summer.......................
The before picture.
It's time to start this!!
Getting new doors! New meaning to open door policy, haha :)
The final product! Great work Pete!!!
The garage needed a lot of TLC! I told Pete that while he was busy with the house, I would paint the garage! I went to Home Depot with a small piece of siding to match paint and got to work!!
The Before....
Just getting started....
Working hard!!
Almost there.....
I realized that I never took a final shot of the garage all finished.. but you get it ;)
