Menu Plan Monday

Really rain? Really? It rained all weekend and the forecast is calling for such a beautiful week. Ugh! So I thought I would cook some warm comfort meals this week! What's on your menu plan this week?

Monday: Ribs & Rice (recipe post coming soon!)
Tuessday: Corn Chowder
Wednesday: Meatball Subs
Thursday: Homemade Mac & Cheese with Ham
Friday: Takeout :)

Westbrook Together Days

Last year, it was beautiful out and we had a big crew with us.  Yesterday it was rainy out, misting when the parade started. This was the year of the diehards :)

We got to have some food, visit the Oakhurst photo booth and listen to some great music!

We then met Rick Charette and watch his band, The Bubble Gum Band before heading home!

How do you feel about endings?

I've Become One Of Them :)

I FINALLY joined the cool club! I've got myself an iphone!!! I held off for so long but now I'm thinking...why the hell did I??? Well I know why, I just didn't want to pay a data plan. Seriously for the camera alone, I am addicted!! I love being able to take so many pictures! My daycare parents love getting the photos also, it's so much easier to send them! Those of you close to me know how I always lose my phone, oops :) Another reason I was nervous to spend some cash on a phone. So you won't be shocked to find out that I already lost my iphone!! On Sunday, while outside, I placed my phone on the hood of Pete's truck. He then ran to Dunkin Donuts and I didn't think much of it until we were leaving to go to Day of Destruction. F*%K!!!!!!! I drove to look for it, Pete drove to look for it and it was gone. Well, that lasted almost two weeks. There was nothing I could do so off to the races we went. I called my mom to tell her and she if she could track it and while I was talking to her she says "wait, your phone is calling me!" It was someone who lived on my street and found my phone!! Why didn't they call Pete's phone? Probably because I have him listed as Baby Daddy, LOL! I was so relieved, thank you good Samaritan! I even offered him cash as a thank you but he didn't want it. It survived falling off of Pete's truck(thank you Otterbox!!) So I will pay a little more attention to my phone and all it's wonderful features!!!

 Then there is instagram, ahhh.....LOVE! Follow me, I'm murphmommy! Ramblings of a Suburban Mom and Two Journeys: One Life have this weekly iphone photo dump, what a great way to show some pictures. Starting today, I'll be doing a Friday dump also! Here is my first week(with a few weeks to catch up)!

Memorial Day Weekend Recap

What a fun Memorial Day 2012 weekend we had!
Friday night started off with a movie, popcorn and some relaxing time after the kids went to bed!

Saturday morning, while Pete had to move 8 yards of dirt, the boys and I headed to Kettle Cove and met up with The Sullivans and Walters. I alway love watching the kids play together!

On Saturday night, My Dad and I took Peter to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway to watch the races, he LOVED it! We've already made plans to go back on Father's Day weekend!

On Sunday, after a great day outside at home with the boys, Pete and I took Peter back to Beech Ridge for Day of Destruction! I didn't have my phone(story in Friday's post) or my little Nikon so this is the only photo I got with Pete's phone. Another fun night!

We ended the weekend with a fun filled Monday!

Menu Plan Monday

Yes, we'll spend today enjoying a BBQ like many, but we must remember why we are. THANK YOU to all the service men and women who have served and continue to serve to protect our freedom!I took the photo above when a huge American flag traveling across the country last year came to Portland. It was hung up by two fire trucks and a beautiful sight. I hope you have all had an enjoyable weekend! We have :) We are off to the parade soon! Enjoy your week!!
