Yay, it's July 4th week! One of my favorites holidays to enjoy America...and food :) It will be a day filled with burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, steak, lobsters, clams and much more! Everyone enjoy the week and the 4th!

Lacrosse ended on Saturday and while I thought things would slow down after I was done, this week its not true!! My sister and nieces will be down visiting so we plan to spend a lot of time with them! We spend some time at Funtown, and we'll take out with my niece Lola who loves wings! We also have the annual BBQ for the daycare. I'm also hoping to take the kids to Storyland on Friday! Its never a dull moment here! Enjoy your week :)

I told you I was coming back! With this my last week of coaching lacrosse, MPM is back! With t-ball & lacrosse we have done a lot of quick & easy dinners and game nights usually consist of take out!  Our team plays in the regional championship game on Wednesday and hopefully our season will continue onto Saturday for the State Championship game! Happy St. Patrick's Day!! With a maiden name like Murphy, I celebrate big time on this day! Yesterday we had a great time with my sister Laura, at the St. Patrick's Day parade in her town and tonight I will attempt an Irish stew! It's a busy but fun week for us! Enjoy your week :)

Another weekend gone by so fast! We had a fun time skiing at Sugarloaf with my sister Nicole, Gwen, Poppi and my SIL Cynthia joined us for the first time! Great day for all!!! After a long weekend spent with my Dad at Maine Med, menu planning was the last thing on my mind last night. When I stopped at the grocery store last night on my way home I grabbed at rotisserie chicken, best decision. It was super easy to heat up in the oven and eat before I headed back into the hospital tonight. I am keeping it super easy this week.

There is nothing better then hearing your husband's alarm go off for work, I start to realize I only have a few more minutes, then realize I have the day off....ahh, great feeling. With a trip to the Children's Muesum, a basketball game and some shopping at Trader Joe's, I have a nice little day off planned ;) We have a visit to our favorite restaurant planned as well as bringing dinner up to our best friends who just welcomed their second baby girl! It's one of the best food weeks of the year!! Thanksgiving is here, yay!!! We're hosting this year. The hubs and I are keeping it simple. We'll be using our favorite brine for the turkey and enjoying some delicious sides... glazed carrots, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing and lots & lots of gravy!! It's been a wild weekend but we survived it! I've been MIA on the blog but it was crazy last week. After Jack's overnight stay in the hospital and rain coming on Sunday we thought that we'd be resting easy Sunday, but since we had already gotten the NASCAR Race tickets and the rain had stopped, Peter and I jumped into the van last minute on Sunday to meet up with Nonni & Poppi in New Hampshire to watch it while Pete and Jack stayed home so Jack could rest and get better. Croup is no fun!! Fall is in the air and I love it! The Cumberland Fair is this week and I always go twice. Once as a family, then I bring the daycare. This is my favorite time of year! Some good comfort meals on the menu this week! Enjoy your week :)

This weekend was just one of those great fall weekends! Friday was rainy, so we spent it enjoying our take out in the living room, picnic style, watching a movie. Saturday we spent the morning moving pellets... 4 tons of them! 2 tons were moved into our basement and 2 tons into Cynthia & Katelyn's. We're now ready for winter! Saturday afternoon was spent enjoying the last time we would go to Funtown this year. What a great summer we had enjoying that place! Sunday, started with soccer before heading up to Farmington to enjoy the fair, a tradition I have done for the last 7 years with my sister! I just LOVE getting a blooming onion every time I go! Enjoy your week!

Football has started! I love this time of year. All week the hubs and I decide what we want to make for Sundays. Late Saturday night we made chili at 8am on Sunday morning it was back on the stove to cook & simmer all morning. It was so good and everything we ate, involved it! Below was our first course, a chili and cheese dip...delicious!!!

The second Monday we wake up to rain. We have plans to spend our last day of summer going out to breakfast and then onto Funtown with friends, but now Funtown is closed for the day! We'll at least enjoy a good breakfast out, who knows where the day will take us!!! Last week all the kids came back full time and I didn't have a minute to menu plan. I should of! It was such a busy week and it made me realize how much menu planning helps our family!

This is my lunch most days, once the kids are asleep is when I get a minute to eat my lunch!

Well...it's time to start cooking! I haven't cooked a dinner in two weeks until last night!!!! With my sisters up on vacation the first week and us on vacation this past week, it just didn't happen. It was nice to fall back into the routine. Speaking of fall, this week is really my last week of summer before I go back full time! Thankfully the forecast is going to be BEAUTIFUL! In the 80's all week! While I was looking over the cookbooks yesterday Pete came into the room and I asked if he felt like any particular meal. His reply..."Let's grill all week!" Great idea! We need to embrace this weather as long as we can! Enjoy your week :)

Good morning! If you follow my facebook page, you saw that beautiful views I saw while camping this weekend. We had a great time with our friends!  I don't think I will cook a dinner this week! My menu is up in the air this morning! Both my sisters are here at my Mom's for vacation this week! I am still working this week but I'll be able to sneak out for a few hours here & there and we'll be spending many of our evenings with them. Some plans include swimming at the lake at my Mom's, a trip to Funtown, & dinner out for wings...Lola loves wings just as much as I do!  We just don't know when the plans will happen with three sisters and 6 kids, you never know, hahaha! Enjoy your week!

I love how food and family(at least with ours) seems to go together. My Mom spends a ton of money before everyone comes up and she always have our favorites. We enjoy cocktails, apps and some of the classic summer dishes. So while I have no idea what I might be doing for dinner this week... I know it will be good :)

Hello Monday! A fun, , relaxing, productive weekend has come to an end. Saturday night we had a fantastic experience at Hugo's in Portland. We went with Emily & Kenny Walters and enjoyed a 3.5 hour tasting experience! Our last course was one we all could share. A 90 day aged Rib eye steak that was out of this world!
