Story Land Trip!

After a fun weekend at camp, We headed over to NH on Monday to Story Land! They have a great deal that any day you enter the park at 3pm, you get tickets for the next day as well. We intended to make the most of it and try to get on as many rides as we could! It wasn't as packed as we thought it would be and got on almost all the rides that first afternoon!
Peter & Jack thought the pumpkin house was silly!
Riding the tea cups! First ride!
Jack was JUST tall enough to make the polar coaster! Pete wondering why the heck I am taking a picture on a ride, haha! I had to capture Jack's first coaster!
Of all the attractions, of course the boys LOVED this one!!!
Attempting a selfie with Jack on the whales!
Pete & Peter riding the tractors.
Riding the elephant after the jungle safari.
As you get on Splash Battle, there is a sign that reads..Warning, you will get soaked!!! They were right! Peter loved it though :)
Still wet, so we tried to dry off on the shoes.
Jack about to fly high!
After a train ride around the park, we left the park around 6:30 and headed to dinner.
Peter wanted to take one of us, since I always take there picture! He did a good job!
We stayed at the Hampton Inn and they had a small water park. The boys were so happy, you wouldn't know we take them to Splashtown on a weekly basis!!
Tuesday morning it had just started to sprinkle when we arrived back at Story Land. There were NO LINES and we did all the rides again, sometimes we just stayed on the ride to go a second time. We made the best of it and had a BLAST!!
The boys(Pete included) had lots of fun in the Loopy Lab.
Peter was so funny at the magic show! As you can see from this picture, he was pretty amazed at some points!!
Waiting for the circus to begin!
On our way to Cinderella's castle! Even though the boys had no interest in meeting Cinderella, they thought it was fun to ride in a pumpkin :)
The only girl in the family meeting Cinderella.
Cinderella was on her way to tea, so she rode down from her castle with us!
Rainy day = no line for the Bamboo Chutes. In fact, Pete & Peter didn't even get off at one point, they just stayed on and went again!
We had such fun time, and because of the rain, we got  free passes to go back again!  I'm thinking it would be fun on a pretty September day :)

UMaine Game!

Last week, Pete called me one day at work. He wanted to try and see if we could go down to Boston for the Hockey East semi-finals to watch UMaine. I happen to be at my Mom's work when he called and she informed me that her, my stepdad, Laura and Chris had gotten tickets the day before! Thanks so much to my Dad and Jan who watched the boys so we could go! We decided to grab the bus down and take the train back with them. Glad we did, we would of had to drive in this weather!
One of my favorite buildings in Boston.
I love this city :)

After we got off the bus, we meet my sister Laura, Chris, Mom and Michael at Nobo near the Garden for dinner. We caught the third period of the BC/Providence game, then had an hour before our game started. What do you do with an hour? Enjoy some beverages :)
Game time!!

Our 4th Anniversary

On Friday, Pete and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary!

I got a lovely surprise when roses showed up at the house that day! I was really looking forward to going out! Our first and third anniversaries I was pregnant and SO sick!! Our second anniversary, Peter was sick with a 102 fever so we got takeout and comforted our sick baby. Finally with number 4, babysitter!

We started our evening with drinks at Grace. We sat at the upstairs bar and had a great view of the place.

We had dinner reservations at The Corner Room. It's the third "room" restuarant.  We got sat at the antipasto bar.... the couple next to us were celebrating  their 22nd wedding anniversary! They were really nice and we ended up having a very nice evening with them. The food was AMAZING! I loved every bite! We had a great experience sitting at the bar watching all the food get made and the chef who I assumed was the salad chef, ended up being the owner! He was so nice, took our picture, answered all our questions about food and made our dinner so enjoyable! We'll be going back again!

Self potrait to end a great evening :)

Children's Musuem

Saturday was Pete's birthday and he wanted to do something fun with the kids. It was musuem day so we got two free tickets to the Children's Museum in Portland. Of course since it was Saturday and it wasn't that nice out, it was packed! We still enjoyed it! Jack really liked the infant area :)

Pete and Peter checking out the bee exhibit!

Peter's favorite area was the cascade stream and boats. He played there for quite a while!

Jack and I got to watch from above.

Hiking Mt. Kid-ta-din

Both boys really liked checking out the touch tank. They had starfish, and lots of ocean creatures!

The birthday boy with his sons! After the musuem, we went down to the Old Port to walk around, check out the boats and had lunch at Five Guys Burgers, it was really good!
