  2. Hi Jenn!

My next party will be at the end of July to celebrate finally graduating college!! It will be at my cape house so very laid back and relaxed but I still want everything to look really well put together. So far my only ideas would be to keep with the my school colors (maroon, black & white) and have a lot of small lights hanging around the outside as the evening starts to get darker. I want to have a ton of food and fun drinks for all of the guests (hope you guys will be able to make it!).

    What do you think?

  6. I am currently planning my son's Curious George Birthday Party! Since that is the theme of his nursery it is only appropriate for it to be the theme of his first birthday party! I am taking the storyline that C.G. went to the circus so everything is going to be under circus tents and tons of balloons with all the colors in yellow, red, blue, green, and white. For the invitations I designed a C.G. card that I am attaching to the back of lollipops. At the party the food will all be fun finger foods that are clearly labeled with C.G. tags. Aside from the healthy fruit kabobs and veggy stick cups, I thought that since it's a circus day we will have lots of popcorn, cotton candy, mini corn dogs, and other foods that C.G. loved to eat from the book series. The cake will be a big circus hat with C.G. sitting on top of it with banana ice cream. There will be C.G. bottles of apple juice for the kids and banana shaped jello shots for the parents. The tables will all have C.G. coloring place-mats and I'm using a crayon-based display as the centerpieces. In the background will be playing Jack Johnsons' C.G. soundtrack. I've also painting a C.G. canvas and will have each child paint their handprint on it as a keep sake for my son. For party favors I'm giving a C.G. book with cotton candy attached.
