Menu Plan Monday

We are coming off a beautiful weekend! We spent almost all of it outside! Spring is on it's way, woo hoo!!!! I am making a simple menu plan this week. Enjoy your week :)

Monday: Rosemary Roasted Chicken
Tuesday:  Make your own Pizza (Visit from my friend Khara!)
Wednesday: Tacos
Thursday: Chicken Parm
Friday: Takeout :)

We just had the most relaxing weekend we have had in a long time! Needless to say, I kept meaning to post this on Friday night, then yesterday but I was just enjoying our weekend. Two days away with our friends and beautiful spring weather! I needed this weekend :)

1. Jack & Peter helping Daddy...shock, we got more snow!

2. Having lunch with Grammy, Cameron and the Aunts! 

3. On Sunday, Pete took Peter snow tubing, he loved it!

4. We celebrated Jack's birthday!

5. The grandparents came over for dinner and cake to celebrate :)



6. Cynthia & Katelyn became homeowners!!

7. After lots of late nights during the week, he fell asleep at 9:30 on Thursday. The perks of working from home for my boys :)

Menu Plan Monday

Today is a big day! Our Jack is 2! I'll be writing a post later today to talk about it more. I posted the picture above on my facebook page last night. Jack really enjoyed breakfast cake this morning :) It's a tradition I started when Peter turned 1....what kid wouldn't want cake for breakfast on their birthday! Enjoy your week!

iPhoto Friday!

I feel like I  haven't been into blogging these past two weeks. We've been busy and I am exhausted. I haven't slept well for many reasons including Jack waking one night, and a snowplow cleaning up the road at 4am. I am so glad it's the weekend and I'm ready to relax! Tonight I am off to a USM basketball game with my sister in law and we have nothing else planned. Did you hear that??!!! The Wescott's actually have nothing else planned for the weekend. I love it! Well, Pete is going ice fishing tomorrow morning. I have some things to do down in the daycare to prep for Dr. Seuss week, but relaxing and enjoying each other is my main priority! On Monday, Jack turns 2 and it seems so surreal to me. Time just seems to be flying by! I had that conversation with my sister last week when we went up to celebrate Gwen's 4th birthday......

5. While cooking dinner the other night, all I heard was silence. I got nervous, went to find them, and it made me smile :)

6. Last night we went and grabbed Mackenna at daycare, while Ben & Bethany had an event for her company. The boys always love having her come over. 

7. For Read Across America Day, we got on Google Chat with Nicole and Gwen this morning! They read us a book and all the kids loved it! 

Menu Plan Monday

Another snowstorm hit us yesterday!  10 more inches. We enjoyed the day at home. It was a big day...the Daytona 500! Peter is into obsessed with NASCAR right now. Since it's the biggest race of the year we decided to make it fun. We made food that Peter decided on....hamburger sliders, chips & dip and he requested chocolate milk :) For our menu plan this week, I'm keeping it simple. Enjoy your week :)

Monday: Pesto Chicken
Tuesday: Beef Stroganoff
Wednesday: Brewer Burger Sliders
Thursday: Penne Vodka
Friday: Takeout ;)

Another weekend is arriving and so is another snowstorm!

 

1. The girls went to Nonni & Poppi's for the weekend so we met up with them at Toys R' Us!

2. With Jack sick and Pete gone fishing, I was so thankful my sister Laura came up. She ended up being a HUGE help, including making this race track :)

3. When Pete came home after three days of ice fishing, Laura and I headed to On The Border :)

4.Evidently Jack wanted some eggs the other morning...he could have just asked!!! I didn't even hear him open the fridge and throw the eggs!

5. Just another day with Jack :)

6. Tonight we went to the race car preview show. Yes, this is life with two boys :) It gave me a great opportunity to get a picture of them for their NASCAR themed birthday party invite!



7. This is Jack's new "cheese" face! We got to enjoy dinner at Binga's tonight.

Menu Plan Monday

I have no idea what I want to cook this week. Thank God it's a long weekend! We've had quite the weekend. Pete left on Thursday for an annual ice fishing trip. Friday night at 2am, I got sick. Good times. I rallied because I had to for the kids. Saturday night, Jack got sick. Peter had a minor "incident". Thank god for my sister, sister-in-law & girlfriend who helped me on Saturday night with the kids and also helped by creating lots of laughter. Yesterday I got some much needed "Jennifer" time and got to go to lunch & the movies!

So when I arrived home last night to plan for the week, I had no motivation! I opened the freezer knowing it's stuffed but didn't really know what I wanted to make. So I made the decision as I was staring first at the freezer, then at the pantry. I was just going to wing it. Thursday night we are going up to my Dad & Jan's for dinner. Friday we always do takeout, so that just leaves me three days. I make make Chicken Parm? Maybe pizza? Breakfast for dinner? Who knows....maybe I'll let the kids decide!

I feel like I need some new recipe/meal ideas!!! Please share by a comment below or on my facebook page, I always love to hear what other people are cooking! Who else has weeks like this??!!!
