Fall Book Pile
It's time for another book pile! It's been a while and it's getting cold...the perfect time to sit next to the warm stove and read! I'm finally jumping on the bandwagon to read 50 Shades. I kept saying I was waiting until I had all three books because I knew once I started, I would want to read them all immediately! What have you been reading lately?!
50 Shades of Grey Trilogy by EL James
I'll See You Again by Jackie Hance
Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella
Second Honeymoon by James Patterson
Crime of Privilege by Walter Walker
Tell My Sons by Lt. Col. Mark Weber

iPhone Friday
Still recovering from the craziness of Halloween week!
1. On Sunday before Peter's last soccer session, Adam & Emma came over to play and have lunch.
2. Peter and his friend Maddie in goal at soccer. This year was very successful!
3. Dressed as a Fireman for his school Halloween parade.
4. I got this from Katelyn this week and I love it! Peter with his aunts on his date night :)
5. Jack and his daycare buddy Colin painting pumpkins.
6. Wednesday night Katelyn & I had a Halloween movie night! The Craft and The Goonies! New annual tradition :)
7. I dressed as Jessie when Kristen and I took the kids trick or treating during the day!
8. Halloween night all dressed up! I was a fire chief with my fire fighters!
9. Best shot we could get on a rainy Halloween night. The boys outfits made it impossible to get a shot without their reflective gear showing up!

Kansas Trip!
Since Abby, Jared and Stella will be residents of Maine as of next week, I decided it was really time to do this post! I blogged back when I was there about our first few days and never did the follow up post. It's time....
Being the photography assistant to Bethany, haha. Helping with the lighting!
The reason we went...to meet Bethany's adorable niece Stella.
Downtown Great Bend.
Peter waiting for me to return.
Bethany, Abby & I enjoying pedicures!
I loved this porch swing at their house. This is what I did most of my time....relaxed!!! It was so wonderful. I got to catch up on a lot of reading.
Bethany & Stella :)
Janie & Jim, Jared's parents took me to Cheyenne Bottoms to check it out.
Hanging with my pal Gir.
Day drinking was a common theme for us on our trip, haha.
Yoder, Kansas. An amish village halfway between Great Bend and Wichita. We stopped on the way to the airport to check it out.
It was a relaxing, fun trip!

Saw this deer at Cheyenne Bottoms and of course thought of my boys!

iPhoto Friday!
It's been forever! Since that Friday that Jack went into the hospital, I haven't made a Friday post! I had it ready to go last week but forgot to hit publish! It's been such a crazy two months around here but things seem to be settling down and it's nice to be getting back in the routine! We had a great time with friends tonight starting with Halloween on Main St. and ending with pizza at our place :)
1. We took the boys to Open Gym at Maine Academy last Friday, they love when we go!
2. Peter jumping!
3. Love this pic of Jack and Palmer that Kristen captured on one of our walks this week!
4. Loving fall and am sad that I am seeing signs of it ending.
5. We had a fun night over at our friends, The Walters house! LOL, this is towards the end of the night :)
6. Date night for Peter with his Aunt's❤ He went with his Aunt's to the Congin Book Fair and asked to wear a "straight thing". Glad I figured out he meant a tie :)
7. Jack wasn't lonely since Sara came to visit!
8. Was very excited to go to Halloween on main St. tonight, haha.
9. Peter trick or treating!
10. How cute is Peter and his buddy Landon :)

Jack's Hospital Visit
Never a dull moment for us turned into one of the scariest time I've ever had in my life! A few weeks ago on a Friday morning, Jack woke up gasping for air! I immediately called Pete home from work and we rushed Jack to the ER. They don't mess around when you bring in a 2 year old with difficulty breathing! We went into the critical care section and after an x-ray, 3 nebulizer treatments and a dose of steroids, they had us stay overnight for observation.
Resting while we wait in the ER.
Only bright point for him that morning was when he discovered the ambulances right outside his window!
When we got transferred up to the Barbara Bush children's wing, he asked to call Peter :)
Kristen and the kids made an adorable card for him that day, it was so sweet!
Nonni came to visit and bring some treats.
A board in his hospital room so the nurses could know him better :)
Having dinner with Daddy.
A full room of visitors!
A beautiful view at sunset.
Katelyn & Jack strolling the hospital halls.
Peter and Jack enjoying the tool bench they brought in for him to play with.
Having some water before bed.
Resting in the hospital bed.
A little coloring before we leave :)
Once he got discharged, he spent the next couple days relaxing at home, which if you know Jack, was not an easy thing to do, haha! A scary time but lucky it all turned out OK!!
