Peter got to give Slugger a high 5!
They had so many old trucks!
Jack absoluely loved the parade! If someone waved to us, he waved to them :)
Here come the Kora Shriners! They had three different groups....the boys loved them all!
The Brown Family met us there and watched the parade with us :)
Jack loving every minute!
One of the last trucks to come at the end of the parade got Peter super happy........

Friday iPhoto Dump!
If you are my facebook friend, some you might have seen but since I want these to go in my blog book, you'll see them here as well :) Week in review thanks to my iphone....
1. On Saturday, we headed up to Freeport to spend the morning and enjoyed a food festival LL Bean was having. There was some great food! I tried Lobster risotto from Grill 233 and like it!
2. Jack tried and ate a lobster roll at the food festival! That was Pete's favorite tent! Peter didn't want to try one, I guess he is like his Mom, LOL!
3. Sunday night on my birthday, Pete and I had a wonderful night in Portland. We went to dinner, then met Cynthia & Katelyn for a few drinks. It was fun and just what I wanted.
4. I had Monday off, it's a holiday for Feels Like Home Daycare ;) Before we headed off to enjoy the day at Funtown/Splashtown, Bethany took me to Bintliff's for breakfast to celebrate my birthday. It was so good!
5. This has been the view from our bathroom since Tuesday. So much for privacy! In order to get it ready for the sheetrock, we had to do this for a couple days. See those wires? That's where our TV will hang in the new room.
6. This blurry picture Peter took while Kristen and I were planning the days activities on Tuesday! I like to include his pictures when he takes them.
7. I decided to take the boys to Beech Ridge last night. Pete had to take the slider out and get that section from the kitchen into the new room framed and ready and I knew it would be hard with the kids around. In my head, I thought it would be easy to take them. It was a little interesting with Jack after 20 minutes, but we had fun and that's all that matters!
8. I've been waiting to post today so I could have this!! They sheetrocked this moring! What do you think? This is the view from the kitchen! We decided to have someone come in and do this part so that it could get done in just a couple of days. With it now opened into the house, the faster this part is done, the better! It's really looking like a room now, woo hoo!!!

Grilled Huli Huli Chicken
I have subcribed to Taste of Home magazine for a few years now and I have always enjoyed it! I use many recipes out of it. This one was great! As we were eating Pete told me to add this to the list of repeat meals!
We I always buy bone in thighs, then we Pete always cuts the bone out himself.
You need to mix the marinade before hand and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. We placed the chicken into a large resealable bag for the night.
Grilled Huli Huli Chicken
Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup chicken broth
2 1/2 tsp. minced fresh gingerroot
1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
24 bonless skinless chicken thighs
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix the first six ingredients. Reserve 1 1/3 cups for basting; cover and refrigerate. Divide remaining marinade between two large resealable plastic bags. Add chicken thighs to each. Seal bags and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
2. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil; using long-handled tongs, lightly coat the grill rack.
3. Grill Chicken, covered, over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or unitl no longer pink; bast ocasionally with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes.

Funtown/Splashtown
We had so much fun last week when we went to Funtown/Splashtown with my sisters and parents last week! Pete and I first took Peter in 2010, and both boys last year on our vacation. We have plans to go again during our vacation in August and Monday for my birthday!
I had orginally planned to work last Thursday but with some kids out on vacation and a few switching days, I ended up having the day off! I was pretty pumped when I realized I would be able to take the boys with the group. We were there at 10am when they opened! I forgot my camera, thank God I now have an iPhone, I took lots of pics :)

First ride, the Antique Cars! Peter drove us!
I wasn't sure how Jack would like the swings...ha, they were his favorite ride!
Peter and Jack riding the cars!
On the Frog Hopper, I think it was Peter's favorite ride!
Jack & I enjoying a ride on the Barney Roadsters.
Because we went as a group, us adults were able to go on a couple rides!
Nicole and I loved the Excalibar Rollercoaster!
I left at mid-afternoon to meet my in-laws because Peter was going up to camp with them all by himself! Since we were having such a great day, Jack and I went back! We spent the afternoon enjoying ourselves in Splashtown! He loved watching Lola on the slides!
