Weekend at The Siemen's Camp

Almost a month ago, yes I'm behind a bit, we went up and spent some time with Ben & Bethany at their camp. We always have such a great time when we go! Bethany and I even got in a shopping trip to Reny's! The weather was beautiful that weekend and we all got to relax, swim a lot and have fun :)

After an afternoon of swimming, Pete, Ben & Bethany enjoyed some oysters! While I didn't try those, I did try some scallops!

Menu Post Monday

What a nice, relaxing vaction we had! Back to reality this morning! The addition is almost done! Our friend Ryan is coming over tonight to help Pete finish all the electrial work!Planning on a easy week to get back in the swing of things :) Have a great week!

Have you missed us??!! We've been on vacation all week and I have made an big effort not to be on my phone or computer and just enjoy the time with Pete and the boys :) Here is our vacation week.....

4. Tuesday we went to Funtown! I think Peter rode the Log Flume about 13 times!

8. We went couch shopping and got a new couch for the new room!!

9. Pete has finished the floor and yesterday started painting the window trim.

10. Pete and I have been talking about painting the kitchen, we have never liked the bottom color since we painted it. Last night I decided to do something about it at 10pm! I primed it so that today I can go and buy new paint for the kitchen!

Menu Plan Monday

Ahh, summer weekends. How I love thee! On my blog facebook page (like it and become a fan!) someone asked a question last week when I posted my menu. Why don't you plan for Saturday & Sunday? The Anwser... I don't post Saturday & Sunday because I don't menu plan on those days. If you're a follower of my blog you can see that we are truly blessed with a wonderful group of friends and an amazing family. Most of our weekends we are on the go enjoying our time with them. This past weekend we spent most of the weekend with our friends Ben & Bethany at their camp fishing, swimming, laughing and enjoying some good food! Sunday morning we left and while Pete worked hard to install the floors in the new room(couldn't do it with the kids around) we went up to the lake with my sisters, Mom, Aunt, Cousin and many kids :) Have a great week :)

PS.. you really need to make the Taco Bake I posted last week. YUM!!

Monday: Brewer Burgers
Tuesday: Wing Night at Stockhouse(Lola is staying one more week and I promised!)

Addition Part 5

Almost there! This will be the last post before the final reveal! We started this addition at the beginning of the summer and will be wrapping it up before the end of summer! After all the electrical work was done, the installation went in.

Then it was time to remove the window from the bathroom to frame in that wall and the slider to open the room up to the rest of the house!

We had someone come in to do the sheet rock so that it would be done fast. With the kids we knew it would be hard to try and keep them out. In a few days it was done!

So Friday afternoon Pete and I got right to work priming the room. I started with the roller but was not doing great so I ended up cutting in the room. Not bad except on the high spots...... I was quite nervous!

Since my Mom and Michael aren't so handy :), they offered to buy all the paint we needed for the room. So on Sunday, we headed over to Sherwin-Williams. Thanks so much!

Bigfoot Monster Truck

For those of you that have spent any time with us since know Peter's obsession love for monster trucks! A few weeks ago one of my daycare Dads knowing Peter's love for monster trucks mentioned that he thought one was coming to Sullivan Tire. I googled it and saw that it had been to the location in Biddeford two days before. I was so bummed, I knew Peter would have loved it! Then yesterday morning, I recieved a text from another daycare parent! The monster truck was back and at the location right here in Westbrook! Do my daycare parent know my kid or what! As soon as the last kid left today we headed over without telling Peter! I should have taken a video of him when we pulled in and he saw the monster truck!!
