My Blog Book!

When I first started this book a few years back, Pete suggested I print out my pages and save them so I could look back. I liked the idea but never got around to doing it. When I was blogging a few weeks back, I noticed an ad on the right side. I clicked on the link and it was a site to turn your blog into a book! I had read in other blogs I follow about how they made books but had no idea how to go about it. I was pumped! I entered the dates of the first year I blogged and it created a book for me... it was that easy. Go to blog2print to find out more!

4th of July Weekend - part two

On Sunday we hosted a BBQ/campfire. We had The Brewer's and The Siemen's over. We served our Herb Mustard Grilled Pork Chops and everyone had a great time. Love this photo of Peter hanging with the guys :)

Ethan Brewer, 2 weeks old and already at his 2nd campfire at our house :)

On Monday, July 4th, we went over to my in-laws for a BBQ in the afternoon. It was fun, relaxing and a great way to wind down the busy weekend!

4th of July Weekend - part one

We had a VERY busy July 4th weeked!! I took so many pictures that it took me a while to blog about, and I'm doing it in two posts! On Saturday, we spent the day at the lake with my family. The weather was gorgeous, we had a great time on the water!

Beach Day

Yesterday morning I took the boys to Scarborough Beach. It is my favorite beach in the area! Each boy brought a friend, haha! Peter's buddy Landon and his Dad met us there. Jack's friend Ethan came with his Mom, Kelli. It was Jack & Ethan's first time at the beach and they did great! We all had a fun time!

Peter and Landon racing trucks :)

Ethan's first trip to the beach was a sucess!

We ran into Christina, I use to nanny with her in Kennebunk!

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

On Saturday morning, Pete, the boys and I headed into the Portland Farmer's Market at Deering Oaks. We had never been but had heard great things about it. We loved it!!! We're planning on going back this weekend and making a morning out of it. We're going to bring bread to feed the ducks and let Peter play at the playground.
This weekend we bought fresh garlic, strawberries and rhubarb. On Sunday, Pete made a pie!
recipe courtesy of cooks.com

2 c. rhubarb, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 c. fresh strawberries, sliced in half
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 unbaked pie crusts

1. Place strawberry and rhubarb mixed together on bottom crust in 8 or 9 inch pie pan. Mix other ingredients
well. Pour evenly over top of fruit. Top with pie crust.

2. Make vents in top crust and sugar crust. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to
350 degrees and finish baking until rhubarb is tender.

Horan visit

Peter, Jack and I drove to Newburyport, MA today to see Jill, Matt & Molly Horan! My friend Mara grew up there and said it was a great place for us to meet up, she was right! I loved it!! It's right on the water, the perfect place to walk around filled with shops, parks and restaurants. I want to go back again! It was so great to see Jill & Matt. I can't believe it's been 7 years since the three of us lived together in Boston. The last time we got to all see each other was when Peter was 3 months old!

After we feed the babies, the photo shoot began, here are a couple :)

After the waterfront park we took a walk through town. Right in the middle was this great playground. Peter was happy to spend some time there.
Jack wanted to play.

We have hundreds of photos together, but we had to end our time together with just one more!
