Signs of Spring!

This past weekend and the few days leading up to it got me some spring fever! I'm gettting excited for spring and I took a look around our house and notice many sights that show it's coming!

Sap is running....

Tulips are beginning to bloom...

We're playing outside more....

Garlic is growing....

LOL, friends are stopping by for Redneck Patio time......

Our mud boots are always by the front door, ready to go back outside!

Menu Plan Monday

Wow, what a beautiful weekend we had! Pete has been busy all weekend with his maple syrup production!

 The time change threw off naps a bit on Sunday but we ended the weekend with some afternoon cocktails with Ben, Bethany, Kelli, Brandon & Ryan! We got the grill out this weekend and are excited to start grilling again! We now have an ipad and thanks to the suggestion from Bethany, one of the apps I now have is Big Oven. I love it, great recipes, and a menu planner! I also have from the library The Pioneer Women's cookbook, I love her photography! Her new cookbook comes out this week! I am going to work on my food photography, in hopes that instead of a image from Organizing Junkie each week on my menu plan, I'll have one of my own :) Enjoy your week, eat well!

Jack's Birthday Party!!

Jack's party was on Saturday morning! Peter woke up excited and ready to party, LOL!

Friday night I stayed up late making Jack's cake and decorating.

I had some frosting issues on Saturday morning, and had to run to the store but I think I pulled it off.

Happy Birthday Jack!

One year ago today, we welcomed Jack into our lives. What an amazing year it has been! I introduced him on the blog the next day.  He has taken us on a wild ride this first year, LOL! We love you so much Jack Murphy Wescott, thank you for blessing our life! I love watching the little boy you are becoming :)

Eric Church Concert!

We really haven't had much snow all year! Of course, yesterday we got a big storm. Schools and lots of businesses were closed, but the Eric Church concert was not canceled!! Off in 4 wheel drive we went!
After a few beverages and wings at Binga's, we headed over to the civic center.

As I was getting ready for the concert I heard on WPOR 101.9 that they were going to have a secret spy at the concert and if they saw you dressed in POR gear that you would have a chance to get upgraded! 20 minutes before we left the house, I was running around the house looking for items and made a shirt and headband. I said I would wear in when we got into the civic center until the concert started and if they didn't pick me by then oh well. I was SPOTTED!! We got 4 tickets into the pit, a section right at the stage in front of the front row! It was awesome!

Ice Fishing

A few weeks ago, Gwen and Allie came down this way for a sleepover weekend at Nonni and Poppi's! Of course we headed up early Saturday morning to visit. The guys were going out to fish and after a few hours of playing inside, Gwen and Peter wanted to head down to the lake to check out the action!
