Menu Plan Monday

It's time to be honest... having two children is amazing and insane all at the same time. Last week while Pete was making roasted garlic bacon mashed potatoes to go with our pork tenderloin, I was holding a screaming Jack and Peter was crying because I wouldn't give him a cereal bar before dinner we make eye contact and realized it was time to get real. We need to simplify things for the next few weeks. With both kids finally asleep, we sat on the couch with our beer and wine and drew up a plan. No meals that pull our hair out... simple, simple simple!! Enjoy your week!

Monday: Sloppy Joe's
Tuesday: Hickory BBQ (McCormick Seasoning Mix) Wings on the grill
Wednesday: English Muffin Pizza
Thursday: Hamburgers
Friday: Takeout!!

Menu Plan Monday

As most of you know, I couldn't eat chicken during my pregnancy. The thought of it made me sick, now I am trying to play catch up. It's seems to be all I want, so we are having it a couple times this week! Have a great week everyone!

Monday: Rosemary roasted chicken with potatoes
Tuesday: Pork Tederloin, green beans & rice
Wednesday: Chicken Parm
Thursday: Class night ... only 2 left!!!
Friday: Dinner with the Varney's!

Barnyard Bash!

*lots of photos*
When I started to think about planning Peter's party a few months ago, I wanted to make it as easy as possible. I knew I would have a newborn and the weather would probably not be so good. After going to a party at Peekaboo Children's Center, I decided to have it there. Great decision! Then my sister of Live Smile Celebrate offered her help. I was blown away with what she did! If you need help with any kind of party, contact her!! Thanks to my sister Nicole and Mom, who stayed up until 11:30 the night before the party helping Laura! Needless to say the party was a hit!

The birthday boy in his barnyard outfit and his party planning Aunt Laura

The room all set up!

Here are some of the decorations!! She is so talented! Become a fan on her LSC facebook page by clicking on this link! She has more photos on her blog and FB page!

Some of the party guests........

Cake time! Laura made a small sheep cake and cupcakes for all the guests. The sheep was made out of fondant and mini marshmellows. I love the picture of Peter and Cayla enjoying their cupcakes!

We decided to wait to open his gifts at home to maximize all the kids playtime at Peekaboo.

Would love to know to know more about layouts & html coding. Anyone know of a blog class I could take?

Happy Birthday Peter!!!

Two years ago, at 4:28 am, Peter and I were blessed with Peter D. Wescott IV. We always knew we wanted to have children, but what an incredible, amazing journey the last two years have been. Peter is such fun, silly, lovable kid! Being a mother has changed me in so many ways, I laugh every day because of him, and seeing the world through his eyes has been a gift.

2 years ago today........

I decided at 8:15 this morning to start a new tradition! Birthday cake for breakfast! He saw the cake on the stove, so I thought why not, how fun would it be growing up and knowing you get to eat cake in the morning on your birthday! Happy Birthday to Peter!

4 Weeks Old!

Already Jack is 4 weeks old! What a whirlwind it has been! We all got colds this week including Jack so I took him to the doctor on Thursday afternoon and he now weighs 10lbs 80z! His current activities include sleeping and pooping! He loves to be held and Peter likes to show him the cars in his room daily. We have started to settle into a routine.

Summer

Seriously... this is my backyard today. Yesterday, kids were playing on those toys. In fact, it was so nice out on Wednesday & Thursday that the daycare kids went out in the morning and afternoon! Now we are covered in snow again. What a cruel April Fool's Joke!! It got me thinking about summer and how I can't wait for it! I have decided that this is a summer my family of four is going to enjoy and not say yes to everything. I want relaxing weekends! Here are some of things I am looking forward to......

.... eating dinner on the back deck every night
.... taking Peter to the playground
.... finding out if Nicole is having a boy or girl
.... going "upta" camp
.... taking our family vacation in August
.... MY BIRTHDAY!
.... spending time up at my Mom's on the lake
.... blueberry & strawberry picking
.... Cape Cod League Horseshoe Tournament(I'm reigning champ!!)
.... go to the beach as often as possible
.... taking the boys for a ride on the Swan Boats in Boston
.... cookouts with friends
.... making a trip to Dairy Queen after dinner just because
.... meeting Ben & Bethany's daughter
.... enjoy a cold beer on a hot day
