First School Days

Our boys are growing up so fast! 

The day I had been dreading all summer happened...Peter started Kindergarden! We had a career change the morning of, so we had to fix his sign, haha!

The daycare kids were excited to walk Peter & Maddie to the bus stop!

The bus arrived and he happily got on. I cried like a baby watching it pull away!

 Luckily Auntie works at his school so she was able to give me updates about his first day :) She snapped a picture of Peter with his teacher, Mrs. Williams!

It was Jack's turn the next day!

He is going to a preschool called My First School, two days a week!

UPDATE: Both boys are loving school!!! Peter has grown leaps & bounds since starting Kindergarten and his teacher is wonderful! His favorite school day is Fridays when he gets pizza for lunch and has Phy Ed with his Auntie.. Miss Wescott :) Jack and I are still attached at the hip so we have many hugs at drop off. He has two teachers, Miss Danielle & Miss Misty. He has some great friends at school and at pick up always has a smile on his face!

Tri For A Cure

36. Complete Tri For A Cure.
I got to check another item off my 40 before 40 list! On Sunday, July 27th, I participated in a sprint triathlon!! I swam 1/3 of a mile, biked 15 miles and ran 3.2 miles! It was such an amazing, incredible event to be part of! You can participate as a relay time or by yourself and it was all me! I was so nervous because with coaching lacrosse, I didn't get much time to train. I only trained for about 5 weeks!

This is the first time I biked 15 miles!

I did my open water swim training up at my Mom's on Little Sebago Lake!



The day before the race, I went over to pick up my race packet! 

The morning of the race, I left the house at 6am. I was so nervous. I wrote on my arms the names of the people in my family effected by cancer.

The swim was first! There was 11 heats, and I was in the 3rd heat. The 1st heat to go into the water is the cancer survivors. The 2nd heat was the cancer survivors relay. It was a beautiful, emotional start to the race.

I made it back! I had some bike problems and had to stop a couple times to fix the chain, but I did it!

Menu Plan Monday

Yay, it's July 4th week! One of my favorites holidays to enjoy America...and food :) It will be a day filled with burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, steak, lobsters, clams and much more! Everyone enjoy the week and the 4th!

Rangeley

We have had this weekend with the Siemen family planned for 6 months. With lacrosse & t-ball  keeping our life super hectic, it was such a fabulous weekend to get away and get off the grid!

 

On our way to Rangeley State Park, we stopped at Height of the Land to take in some views!

When we got to our campsite, we roasted hot dogs over the fire for a true camping experience!  

 

Peter got up at 4am to go on his first fishing trip with Pete & Ben.. it paid off, he got a fish!!

We took a hike to cascade falls gorge...

After lunch we decided to head out on Rangeley Lake for the families to take turns going for a boat ride. Ben, Bethany & the girls went first.
