Memories

This weekend I have been watching Ethan & Isaac, while Ben, Emily & Evie are in South Carolina at a wedding. It has been a fun, extremly busy weekend.... I will post about it later. I am at the Kahn's house tonight because their flight gets in late and I found these photos. It was the day we got Bela and a few days before we bought our house, they were taken at the end of August 2007!!!!

Parades, Festivals & Visits!!

Friday night kicked off Westbrook Together Days. It happens every first weekend in June and is a great oppurtunity to people watch. We headed down Friday night to grab a burger and watch a little Motor Booty Affair. It was Gus's first concert and he slept through it!

Saturday morning was the parade! We met up with Nick & Kati, got seats early and had a great time! Gus was up the whole time.

After the parade we walked around to get some food and peope watch. Bela got to enjoy some ice cream before we left!


After Westbrook Together Days, we dropped off Pete to mow the lawn and Gus and I headed into Portland to have lunch with Cristina who had come to Maine to visit!

We had a great lunch at Dimillio's!

We were all sad when it was time to go, Emilia made sure she got to kiss Gus goodbye!


On Sunday was Old Port Festival. I had never been before and had always wanted to go. I found out that Elliot Yamin would be playing on the Q 97.9 stage and knew I had to go, I asked Cynthia because she is an Elliot fan as well. The concert was great!

There were so many people, it was almost unenjoyable! The vendors took up so much room on the road that there wasn't much room left to walk. I don't think I will be returning next year. We left right after the concert! We can always smile for a photo though!


We ended the weekend with a great visit from Kyle and Sara!

What a Weekend!

I had a wonderful weekend!
I woke up on Saturday to the rest of the family on the couch!

We had a busy Saturday! I spent the morning cleaning before we got to head up to Ben & Bethany's new house to check it out. It is a beautiful house!

In the Afternoon Nicole & Laura decided to come for a visit which was great! I love surprise visits!! We had a wonderful afternoon with all the kids.

Ben & Bethany came over for dinner on Saturday evening with the newest member of their family, a yellow lab named Baily.

On Sunday, Laura, Dylan, Lola, Mom, Gus and I went to Funtown. Happy and awake he feel asleep on the way down and didn't wake up until we got home.

Laura and I even got to enjoy a few rides! This was one of the better ones, the Log Flume! We went on a new ride called the Wild Mouse that I will have flashbacks about for the rest of my life! If you are ever at Funtown and have to desire to ride the Wild Mouse... Save yourself and DON'T!!!!

It rained for about 10 minutes as we were getting ready to leave so it was the perfect way to get kids out of the park. A great ending to a great weekend!

The first swim of the year goes to......

My internet is still on the brink so this is the first time I have been able to post since Sunday night.It has been a hot last couple of days. With the temperature hitting 92 yesterday, we knew it was time to put of the pool. Pete got it for me for my birthday last year and I love it! It is the perfect cool off! Baby Gus is seven weeks today, and slept good last night, 9pm - 3am!

On Wednesday we went to Waterville to visit Jenny & Craig.

We had good visit and a yummy lunch at Governor's. We were able to book our hotel room for their wedding in August!

I have taken control.....

.... of my house again!! I am on a roll! I have done major spring cleaning to our bedroom, Gus's room and the bathroom. Yesterday Pete and I cleaned the garage and basement! We have one side of the garage filled with a bunch of stuff we plan to try to sell in a yard sale next weekend.

Today we got mulch and did the front yard and after lunch will do the back yard. Pete is also setting up the pool today which is great since Thursday will be 82 degrees!!

On my list for the rest of the week.... spring clean the back room, living room and kitchen. If I can get those three rooms done, I will be happy! A roadtrip to Waterville tomorrow to visit Jenny and a enjoyable and relaxing Memorial Day Weekend!

What an awesome day I've had!! Gus slept good last night, and we started the day at 5:30.... feed him, put him in his swing and showered, and started some laundry, got a lot of laundry done today. We ran a bunch of errands this morning, hitting up Target, Walmart, Kohl's and the UPS store! Got home, greeted Bela, feed Gus and put him down for a nap. While he napped I went out and did some weeding and mowed the lawn. After a very late lunch we took a walk up to the park so Bela could run around and play ball. We even got our photo taken there!!

We got home about an hour ago... feed Gus, put the pork tenderloin on the grill for dinner and now am enjoying a little computer time before Pete gets home in 2o minutes. Now I just need to fit in exercising!!

Having a great week! Bela and Gus are besties!! Bela has taken to the baby so well. She loves him! At night when we put him in his crib she lays down in front of his door. She has never jumped or shown signs of jealousy, but likes to get a couple licks in every now and then! Beautiful weather here this week... it reached 92 on Tuesday! Every other day this week though has been an enjoyable 65-70.
