Menu Plan Monday

For those of you who follow my blog and check out my menu plan, I'm sorry it's so boring lately but with my food aversions with this pregnancy, I am very limited to what I can eat.

Monday: Fetticine Alfredo & garlic bread

Tuesday: BLT's

Wednesday: Potato Soup (a crockpot favorite of mine!)

Thursday: Beef Parmesan (aka meatloaf), green beans, mashed potatoes

Friday: take out :)

Basement Project

Wow, a week ago today Pete started the basement! He has worked hard all day every day this week (except for turkey day)! I didn't realize how much he would get done! He has done a lot of it by himself, which impresses me even more. He did get help with the wiring and heating, and we are thankful for that! I can't wait to more the daycare down there!

Looking into the room, love how Pete made the half wall.. After work this week, he'll mud the walls so that we can paint it next. After we paint the walls, all we'll have to install is the flooring, trimwork & the ceiling. We are going to have hardwood pop & lock on half the floor and carpet on the rest.

Gobble, Gobble!!

We started off Thanksgiving morning like we always do... cooking our own turkey. Even though we alternate famililes each year, we cook our own turkey every year so that we can make sandwiches, soup & other dishes. About 3 years ago I tried brining our turkey and it turned out so good, we've done it ever since. After we got the turkey in the oven, Pete made us a great breakfast to eat while we enjoyed the Macy's Day Parade. Peter loved seeing all the big balloons!

This year it was it my Mom's turn so we went there for dinner. Nicole was there along with Michael's side of the family. Five kids under the age of 4, so lots of fun! Dinner was yummy, thanks to my food aversions I couldn't eat the turkey but there were lots of sides to choose from and they were all good! They fried the turkey and it was a hit. We had a great day.

We left my Mom's and swung by the Wescott house where Pam was hosting members of her side of the family. We enjoyed some pie and Peter got to play with his 2nd cousins, Adam & Emma. It was a great Thanksgiving!!

Menu Plan Monday

Posting a little late, but it's still Monday. Very simple meals for the first few days since we have a big meal (or two) on Thursday. I am having a mini turkey dinner with the daycare kids on Tuesday. This year we spend it at my Mom's. We also cook a turkey here so we can smell it while watching the parade and make leftovers for ourselves. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Monday: Hot dogs with mac & cheese

Tuesday: Dinner with Ben & Bethany

Wednesday: Pizza (my favorite meal during pregnancy)

Thursday: THANKSGIVING!!!!

Basement Project!

We have started our basement project!! We are finishing half of the basement and will be moving the daycare down there! I am very excited! Pete started framing on Sunday and it is now all framed in. His grandfather is coming over today to help him with the heating, and his friend Ben will be over later tonight to help him. The only thing we are getting outside help with is the carpeting. We are hoping to have it done in January so we can move the daycare downstairs before the baby is born! We'll be turning the back bedroom into a car themed room for Peter! It will be nice to get some of our living space back upstairs!

Florida -part two

Well we spent most of our vacation in the pool or the ocean... with both at the condo it was very easy to spend time at either one. He has no fear and was not afraid of the waves at all!!! He loved jumping into the pool as well. I think I might put him into swim lessons this spring!

Baby "Dos"

Here is a picture of Baby "dos" at 25 weeks! My due date is March 4th. Just went to the doctor's this morning and everything is looking great. He is about a 1 1/2 pds right now...right on schedule. For those of you that don't know, we have decided to name him Jack Murphy Wescott. We are very excited to meet him!

Florida -part one

*With so many photos, I am spilting the trip into a couple of posts*

We had a wonderful time in Florida!!! We had great flights and by the second one, Peter was a pro! When we got off the plane we were in 75 degree weather! We spent a lot of time swimming in the pool and the ocean, since we had both right at the condo. Peter is a fish! The condo was great, it had two bedrooms and plenty of space to run around, including a great balcony. I think I am going to have to make this trip annual!!

We landed in Florida and Buna was ready to relax & enjoy some sun!

We went to the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne on Wednesday morning. We all had a great time! It was the perfect size zoo for someone Peter's age!

Pete is going hunting this week "upta" camp so I am keeping it simple for Peter and I!

Monday: Homemade Mac n' Cheese

Tuesday: Rice & Veggie Soup ( I usually put chicken in but, can't with my pregnancy!)

Wednesday: keeping it open, maybe we'll go out?

Thursday: Homemade bagel bite pizza

Friday: Daddy's away.... we'll go out again if we want!!!

We've Arrived!!

YAY! We're in Florida! He did great on the plane rides and got a certificate from the pilots for his first flight! The condo is great! It is huge and kid friendly.... Buna loves being out on the porch! I have already decided to come ever year when Pete is hunting! The boys and I will have to rough it down here while he hunts in the cold :) Today we are headed to the Zoo in the morning and then will spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool!

Only one meal this week....why? Buna and I are Florida bound on Tuesday morning!!!! We are meeting my Mom down there for a few days, I need some relaxation! So for the one night we are home this week, I am keeping it simple! See you all when we get back!

Yes, it's back!!! I took a hiatus for the summer but then when September rolled around, I was still getting sick and had no energy at the end of the day to cook!! I think Pete is extremely happy I can help out again. My food aversions are still pretty bad but I am really cooking for my two guys :)
