LaKermese Festival

Gus and I had a first together.... the LaKermese Festival in Biddeford. We were bummed that Pete was working. Each year they have a parade and festival celebrating the french heritage of the Biddo. This year we experienced the parade (his 3rd!) and interesting is all I can say! We had a great time with the people we were with, Mara & Ryan, Emily & Kenny, Bethany & Jay, and Jen & Joe. To tie it all in for you, Emily and I went to high school together, and Bethany, Mara, Emily, and Jen all went to college together. Out of us five ladies that were there, three of us have babies and both Mara and Jen are pregnant... we are growing up!!

Pumpkin Visit

Jill (AKA Pumpkin) was my college rooommate. She now lives in Colorado. Her husband Matt's family lives in Connecticut, so they were able to come up and meet Gus while they were here! I hadn't seen her in a year so it was great to spend some time with her. Too short of a visit though.

Back to work

Well I'm back to work, and so far, so good! It is great to be back with the boys, I missed them when I was off. I loved being off for 12 weeks, it was the perfect amount of time. I was ready to go back to work. This week we are getting into a routine, the boys LOVE Gus and most days they get to see him, but with Pete's shift work it is nice to just have time with the boys as well! Ethan goes to Center Day Camp in Windham every day and loves it! Isaac loves going to pick him up at the bus in the afternoon!

Kristen's Grad Party

On Saturday we went to Pete's cousin Kristen's grad party! I always love a good party! She graduated last week and will be going to SMCC in the fall for childcare. I didn't get a photo of her and Gus, so her sister Elizabeth gets the photo!

Our little man was great at the party! He was held by everyone and only fussed at the end when he was tired. He feel asleep in Kristen's arms at the end.

We finally got a new couch on Tuesday and we all love it! It change the look of our living room. Gus thinks it comfy to sleep on!

On Wednesday, Nicole and Gwen came down for the day to visit. We all hopped into Nicole's car and visted family, went to the mall and got Gwen's picture taken. Below are a few snapshots of the cousins. It is tough to get the perfect picture!

Busy, Busy, Busy

What a busy week, with still not getting around to calling Time Warner, I know, it has taken about a week for me to post and recap on a great week!

I was with the Kahn's for about a month when Emily and I brought Ethan to his first day at the JCA for summer camp in June of 2006. He started in the Toddler room and had his last day in the Pre-K room last Thursday. I have loved him going there as much as he has. The parents and teachers are great and I have made some nice friends there. I can't believe Ethan graduated from Pre-school. I got to go in to watch the class sing a couple songs to wrap up their year. Isaac will still be there next year.

For about a year now, Pete and I have wanted to have a yard sale. We finally got our act together and the Sullivan's and Varney's joined us for a great day. We made some good money and had a fun day with friends.

On Monday morning I left for Boston in what was my last road trip of my maternity leave. I started my day in Harvard Square where we meet up with Cristina and Emilia.

After I said goodbye to Cristina and Emilia, I went to the Scanlan's so they could meet Gus. They were all excited to meet him and it was wonderful to visit with them.

I was able to get out of Cambridge and get through Boston without a ton of traffic! I arrived at Laura's by 5 and were greeted by two very excited kids. We had a yummy dinner! Gus was in a great mood all night and Dylan and Lola jumped into the tub when we gave him a bath.

Gus slept great in his moses basket and I was able to get some sleep as well. We had a such an enjoyable visit, I was sad to leave. A great roadtrip to end my leave!

New Hampshire Visit

We went to spend the night with Ollie & Jill in New Hampshire. Trip two of three on my maternity leave roadtrips. Since the birth of Gus Jill and I haven't had much time to relax and talk.... we got to do both. It was so great! Ollie was good with Gus and Chris was out of town on training so it was just the mommas and their boys!

Parades, Festivals & Visits!!

Friday night kicked off Westbrook Together Days. It happens every first weekend in June and is a great oppurtunity to people watch. We headed down Friday night to grab a burger and watch a little Motor Booty Affair. It was Gus's first concert and he slept through it!

Saturday morning was the parade! We met up with Nick & Kati, got seats early and had a great time! Gus was up the whole time.

After the parade we walked around to get some food and peope watch. Bela got to enjoy some ice cream before we left!


After Westbrook Together Days, we dropped off Pete to mow the lawn and Gus and I headed into Portland to have lunch with Cristina who had come to Maine to visit!

We had a great lunch at Dimillio's!

We were all sad when it was time to go, Emilia made sure she got to kiss Gus goodbye!


On Sunday was Old Port Festival. I had never been before and had always wanted to go. I found out that Elliot Yamin would be playing on the Q 97.9 stage and knew I had to go, I asked Cynthia because she is an Elliot fan as well. The concert was great!

There were so many people, it was almost unenjoyable! The vendors took up so much room on the road that there wasn't much room left to walk. I don't think I will be returning next year. We left right after the concert! We can always smile for a photo though!


We ended the weekend with a great visit from Kyle and Sara!

2 month appt.

Today Gus had his 2 month appointment with Dr. Goodrich. Dr. Goodrich was my doctor as well as Pete's when we were kids so it is kind of neat being able to bring our child to his as well! He is doing great.... here are his measurements today at two months:

Length: 23 1/2 inches long .... 75 %
Head: 42" .............................. 94%
Weight: 14.2 pounds ............... off the chart!!
(They put him at 98% but the chart only goes to 97%)

He also had to get three shots today. He did better then I would have! He was not impressed but is now resting in his swing. His next doctor appt. is in August.

Happy Birthday Gus!

Two months ago today, my little man was born!! Where does the time go? It has been such a wonderful past two months! I am sad that he is already getting so big but at the same time can't wait to watch him grow. He is starting to make cute sounds and everyone now and then we get a smile! Tomorrow we have his two month check up, I'll post that update tomorrow.



I LOVE this kid!!
I have three weeks left on my maternity leave so I decided to take a mini trip each week. This week was to Nicole's house in Farmington. We left the brook early this morning were here by 1o. We have had a very relaxing day. It was such a beautiful day and Nicole was resting that I decided to go downtown to grab Nicole a birthday card(her birthday is Friday) and visit Reny's, didn't find anything good though.

This is exactly what I did.....
